Personal History Harrison Wade grew up on a Federation rehabilitation colony, his father was a physiotherapist and his mother a counselor specialising in PTSD. He grew up around people trying to help others, and found an early interest in medicine.

His interest led him to Starfleet academy after obtaining his medical doctorate as he had a desire to help as many people as possible, and travelling the galaxy on a starship seemed the best way to achieve that. Graduating not long after the end of the Dominion war, he found that his services were very much in need.

Harry initially found the adjustment to a formal command structure slightly jarring, he had always done well in his studies and had gotten used to the prestige of being a doctor, as well as being slightly older than many of his fellow cadets. He would.later admit though, that it probably did him good to be taken down a peg or two.

Harry progressed to the Chief Medical Officer of the USS Prydwyn, where he began a relationship with the chief operations officer, Sarah Graves. The two eventually married and moved together to the USS Trafalgar, where Sarah was to serve as executive officer.

During their time on the Trafalgar, they were assigned to emergency relief when a neurotoxic virus broke out on Celtrex Prime. The Trafalgar was the first ship to arrive, and Harry took the lead on the medical side of the operation. During the mission, he became frustrated at what he felt was a lack of support from senior positions within Starfleet Medical, as well as the fleet chain of command. He felt that they were too slow in providing the resources he needed and ultimately this was responsible for more people dying than necessary.

Once the mission was over, Harry compiled a report which strongly criticised some senior officers as well as a number of procedures. Sarah tried to persuade him not to file the report, calling it career suicide, but ultimately that didn't stop Harry. Harry lost his marriage and found his career marginalised after the report was published, although two senior officers ended up losing their commission's over the incident.

After being transferred to starbase 44, a small, remote outpost, Harry decided that he needed to make some changes in order to salvage his career. He retrained for a command position, and eventually recieved a position as executive officer.
